Centering Prayer is a method of prayer, which prepares us to receive the gift of God’s presence, traditionally called contemplative prayer. It opens and deepens our awareness of the Presence, Action and Grace of the Divine in our lives.

This experiential workshop in a retreat setting is intended to introduce participants to the method of Centering Prayer and its theological, psychological and historical background. The workshop is designed by Contemplative Outreach Ltd., and is drawn from the book Open Mind, Open Heart by Fr. Thomas Keating.

Our facilitators are Susan Kehoe, Coordinator for Contemplative Outreach Eastern Ontario and the Rev. Mary-Ellen Berry, COEO leadership team and hosted by the Centering Prayer practice group that meets each Thursday at 5:30pm in the Holy Spirit chapel.

Come and join us and experience this practice in a group setting with guidance. Practitioners who wish to spend a day in community are very welcome to attend.

Cost: $35. Bring a bag lunch, refreshments provided.
