Now and not Yet – Living in the Gap

heart-lovelightPilgrims on the contemplative way are consoled by a deepening sense of peace and by the growth of the fruits of the spirit. They also experience suffering in what Parker Palmer (following Thomas Merton) calls the “tragic gap…between what is and what could and should be.” With opportunities for silent prayer and liturgical prayer, for reflective writing and artistic expression, we will explore the practice of "holding life's tensions in our responsive hearts.”

The final offering in a series of four enrichment days exploring the Christian contemplative journey. Join us in community for one or all of these experiences of contemplative wisdom, practice and silence. Rooted in Centering Prayer, all ways of prayer are welcome.

Cost: $30.00

Please bring a bag lunch. Refreshments will be provided.

For more information or to register, please contact Deacon Christine at 819.684.3480 or use our handy contact form.
